NEXT

Text taken from a paper given, in 1835, by the English Lord Thomas Macaulay, is run around the edge of the gallery. In the speech Macaulay advocates teaching English as a foreign language in India. One of a series of works produced at Cartwright Hall Museum and Art Gallery.
